I want to be direct, my name is Greg. I go by “Onision” online. This book is made up of events that occurred in my own life mixed with fiction from the made up life of James.
James is essentially a better version of myself. His home, his school & his life all resemble my own at his age. The people James analyzes and is surrounded by are not so unlike those I’ve known as well.
I have experienced much of the loss James has however his happier moments are more often than not also mine.
I want to share my story without it being purely non-fiction. I simply felt this approach would make for a far better book.
At points I cried while writing this, at others I laughed. Stones To Abbigale is not just a book I wrote, it is a piece of who I am.

I was curious and checked this title out. Blew me away with how bad it was written. Not by an actual author and not edited by any professionals either. Nothing wrong with having ebooks instead of publishing in print, but this was just awful. Terrible story, bad grammar, cookie cutter characters, a narcissistic Gary Stu character. I read where someone commented that this was written by someone who claimed to never read books - well, it shows! Wish I had known that before buying. There's no excuse for this laziness. If you put out a product at least try to learn how to craft it first. Never reading books and never trying to learn to write makes for something poor like this.Product details

Stones To Abbigale edition by Onision Lainey Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
No.
I didn't buy the book, but rather read it online. The protagonist James is a pompous, judgmental little snot who looks down on everyone and always assumes the worst about people because he can't be bothered to actually get to know them. This book CONSTANTLY breaks the rule of "Show, don't tell" in that James always assumes what people are thinking and feeling. He is so pretentious and arrogant that I actually ENJOYED one of the earlier chapters where he got his a*s kicked by a jock named Jason.
Every supporting character is a one-dimensional stereotype. Abbigale, James' co-dependent girlfriend, is a Mary Sue whose only trait is her love for James. His friend, Davis, is a goofball who provides cringe-worthy "comic relief." The antagonist, Seth, is a douche bag whose existence is solely to make James appear all the more awesome. In fact, several gratuitous scenes, including a school shooting, were only placed in the book to boost James' image as a hero. I don't mind violent subject matter, but the author uses it in such a superfluous and self-serving context that's downright disturbing. Don't even get me started on the constant mistakes in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Onision needs to be ashamed of himself for being a 30-something-year-old who writes about as well as a fanfic writer in the 2nd grade.
The only good thing to come out of this book is all the hilarious negative reviews.
This book is just bad events strung together in lazy writing. So much happens yet the content of this book is a whole lot of nothingness. Not one character in this book was remotely interesting and their only function was to compliment James. Abbi has no personality of her own and is very clearly seen as a woman in need of saving. The way the author romanticized and trivialized issues such as rape, self harm, abuse, and school shootings. James is hands down the worst case of a Gary Sue I've seen in a book published by an "adult". Hands down worst book I've read in a long time, insulting.
Used to be a fan. Read the book out of curiosity and couldn't finish it. Got about halfway through before I stopped. I used to read some bad fanfiction as a teen and that's what it reminded me of. Last time I buy a book just because I'm nosy without checking out the cliffnotes version first. Lordy lordly...
This is LITERALLY the worst book I've ever read in my entire life. In fact, it's so bad that I've had to read it through several times just to make sure that it's that bad.
It is.
Before I go any further, I'd like to clarify something as someone who has read this book more than once There ARE NO DINOSAURS OR ALIENS IN THIS BOOK. The author simply told his 'fans' to spam the reviews with their own false reviews so he could flood out all negative criticisms of his book. Only read this if you want to read something so bad it's funny.
Grammatical errors and syntax errors are common and happen at least three or four times a chapter. This book was obviously written by somebody who didn't have a competent editor. There is no discernible plot. Instead, the book simply offers up different days in the author's life with no build-up and no sort of resolution when the book's over. This is mostly because there is nothing to resolve. There is no plot. The book seems to just be some sort of wish fulfillment self-insert fanfiction designed to make the author feel better about the things that happened in his past.
None of the characters have descriptions and they all speak and act the same. They are all basically the same as the main character - pessimistic, hateful and nihilistic. The main character flip-flops and contradicts himself more times than I can count. He isn't able to think past his own feelings and opinions, and judges EVERYONE in the story except for his mother and his girlfriend. Everyone else is labeled as a 'stupid jock' or an 'unexamined idiot.' Everything and everyone in the book serves only to make the main character feel better about himself. For example, after the death of Davis, the best friend, there is a funeral. During the funeral, Davis's mother reads her eulogy and, instead of being about her dead son, it's just about the main character and how great he is.
This book made me sick to my stomach several times, and I had to set it down multiple times just so I could take a break from the absolute wank-fest within. Don't read this unless you're ready to hate read it.
Idle prattle of a self absorbed mind, which I would normally enjoy if written with an ironic air and a bit of style, (ALA Fight Club). The spelling errors are distracting and he piles on far to many adjectives to be read with any sense of coherency. In the writing world there's a phrase "Kill your darlings"; a concept I believe our dear Mr. Jackson should contemplate upon.
The 5 star ratings on here are blatantly his video subscription fans attempting to drown out legitimate criticism, which only further serves to sour my take on this "book". This isn't literature by any stretch of the imagination, but rather a glorified Tumblr entry put on paper and charged to your PayPal.
Literally so terrible it's funny
